The Rapi-Dos has been in development for more than a year, and is now finally in the final stages. Team pilots Cade Palmer, Malachi Templeton, and Jamie Lee, have all signed off on the final protos and it will be entering production shortly. Here is a recent video from our team – we’ll post more news here when it’s available to order via Ozone dealers. Cheers from all the Speed Team!

The Rapido official product video

Watch our latest video for more insights into the development and release of the Rapido: a new design for pilots who are pushing the limits of steep carving flights, low barrel rolls, and long swoops. With a slightly higher aspect ratio and a more dynamic and agile character than the Fazer series, the Rapido is designed specifically for experienced speed flying pilots. A wider glide range and a higher trim speed and wider acceleration window set this wing apart from the other speed wings in our range. Check the product page for more info.

LiteSpeed official product video

Check out the latest in depth info on the development of the LiteSpeed: a highly versatile, lightweight mini-wing that features the latest in SharkNose Technology and Ultralite construction. Its modern design incorporates the same technology that powers our highest performance XC and competition wings, packaged into a user-friendly intermediate mini-wing. Check out the product page for more info.

Jamie Lee Flying clean lines in Switzerland

Our friend Jamie Lee has been testing the Rapido in the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland recently, and sent us this video of a stellar run from last week. Jamie says, “This wing is amazing & has more range than I’ve ever experienced!” These are the type of flights the Rapido was built for, big mountain terrain for very experienced pilots. We’re eager to see where Jamie takes it over the next few weeks and will have more to report in the near future.

Thanks to Jamie and cheers from all the team!

Dave Edwards, The Ozone Lifestyle

If you were around kiteboarding in the early days you will no doubt have heard of Mad Dave. He is somewhat infamously known for his crash on the rocks in Maui at KiteBeach which somehow he walked away from! But there is far more to Dave than that one fateful day as you can see in his new video, his wide ranging talent is an inspiration and he is still as hardcore as ever pushing boundaries…and rocks… as you can see in the second half of the video of Dave doing some highly skilled loops on his Fazer 2. They sure build them tough in New Zealand and its been a pleasure having Dave ride our kites and wings since 2010.

The Zero: Official Video

We had a lot of fun making this short film, which introduces our new mini-wing design, the Zero. After several years of testing and prototypes, the Zero has emerged and is the most compact and precise feeling mini wing that we have ever flown. The Ozone Shark Nose Profile is perfectly suited to this design, which is fun and accessible for intermediate to expert pilots. For more information, please visit the Zero info page.

At Malachi’s House

Ozone Team Pilot and NZ native, Malachi Templeton, has recently moved to Norway with his partner, Beate. Malachi sent us this awesome video of them both flying the mountain nearby, and landing at their house. Looks like paradise, to us! Nice work Malachi, we’re very happy for you both!

Cheers from all the Team.

(the 2nd video is of Malachi playing with some RC aircraft in NZ).

Summer Speed Fun, in The Wasatch

One of best aspects of the Fazer is its versatility. It’s fun in the winter, when you can rip snowy lines while speed riding, but it really excels in the summertime for foot launched flying. If you haven’t foot launched a Fazer, then you don’t know what you’re missing and we highly recommend it (if you have the necessary experience). In this short clip, Gary Begley shows the Fazer in use at a variety of sites from the local PG hill to remote mountain terrain in Utah, USA.

Fazer Video Roundup

As the northern hemisphere descends into winter, pilots across North America and Europe are dusting off their snow gear and getting ready for some speed-riding. The Fazer has proven to be a popular wing for a wide variety of speed applications as it performs beautifully whether it’s being launched with skis, or on foot. Check out the following videos from happy Fazer pilots, and please send us your own this winter!

Cheers from all the Team.
