The Ozone Chabre Open: 2012 Results
The 2012 Chabre Open has come to an end with most pilots flying 5 out of 7 days in the beautiful southern Alps. Anders Beyer Brattli took first overall and Catherine Bartholdi won the women’s division flying her Delta. Plenty of prizes were dolled out during the closing ceremonies, but Gerard Van Rijn took the grand prize of all, which was (by raffle) the Ozone wing of his choice. He has decided on a new Rush 3 for his future XC flying endeavors.

The Ozone Chabre is back this year for the 7th time! This competition hardly needs any introduction as it has become one of the most well-known “Fun and Friendly” XC Comps in the world. As with every event beforehand, Jocky Sanderson will be on site helping pilots to navigate the ins and outs of a challenging but intermediate-friendly competition format. If you haven’t experienced the Chabre Open yet, please join us this year – we are sure that you will love the ambience, the flying, and the lectures, debriefings, and entertainment. Ozone is the title sponsor of this event and we have done everything we can to keep the registration fees down to a very reasonable level especially considering the quality of the organization, retrieve, and activities offered.
Dates for the event are 16th to 22nd June 2012 Registration opens on February 28, 2012 and we expect this comp to fill up very fast as it has every year in the past – so please set your calendar reminders today! For more info and to register once it opens, go to: http://www.flylaragne.com.
