The Peak is OZONE’s new DHV certified lightweight mountain glider. Together with Sup’Air and PRS we have come up with a combination of glider, harness, protector and bag that weighs in at only 7.5 kilos.

The Peak is the first of it’s kind, it is the lightest glider to be DHV certified, it’s the first mountain glider to have passed the stringent DHV load test and also the first mountain glider to pass the flight tests with a catgory1.

Our sport began with the idea that mountaineers would climb up to a summit, then after enjoying the views, the paraglider would be used for the relaxing decent to the valley far below.

Only the hard-core mountaineers still do this, but there is a growing trend towards this type of Eco flying. What is ECO flying? It is simplicity it self; no cars, no chair lifts, no assistance, just you, your legs, the mountain and the desire to break away from the norm. You don’t have to scale Everest, the mountains and hills close to your home will be an adventure.

The Peak is the perfect wing for the Alpinist or ECO flyer. The entire package has been put together with lightweight materials, but also with durability in mind. It is light, safe and has good performance.

  • We have used materials that are as light as possible, but also resilient over time. These materials were carefully researched by PRS for this specific application. The upper and lower surfaces are made from a specially developed cloth from Porcher Marine, which is triple silicone coated and 34g per meter instead of the normal 44g cloth. The profiles are made with 39g Porcher. The main lines are made from lightweight Aramid and the uppers are heat treated Dyneema all produced by Liros, these lines believe it or not, make a reasonable weight saving. The risers are made from a pre-stretched heat-treated 8mm Dyneema. (DAN 1000kg)

  • The Harness available are Sup’Air’s lightweight mountaineering harness the Radical or Altiplume. The Radical can have back protection that is removable for the real hard-core weight watchers. Sup’Air also produces the backpack, designed to be small and light but just big enough to fit all your equipment inside including helmet and rescue.
