The All New FAZER – A Speedwing for the Next Generation of Speed Pilots

The Fazer offers modern speed riding and speed flying pilots the ultimate combination of speed, precision, and performance. We designed this wing especially for the new generation of speed pilots who are pushing the limits of the sport with and without skis, in mountains and coastal sites all over the world. Although the Fazer is primarily designed for pilots of a wide range of abilities to ski-launch, experienced speed pilots will love foot launching their Fazer in big mountains during the summer time.

What sets the Fazer apart from the competition is its incredible precision. Modern speed pilots want a wing that can be flown close to terrain with dependable accuracy and no parasitic sail movement (that “wobble” or “accordion” movement inherent in many current speed wings). The Fazer is a rock-solid and reliable canopy for precision flying!

The Fazer has an excellent glide range - it will go steep when you want it to, and it glides well when you need it to. Although the glide range can be adjusted extensively using only the brakes, the Fazer also features a trim range which works smoothly on its 3-riser system.

The Fazer can fly steeper or flatter than the Bullet and is faster across the entire speed range. It is a 3 riser design with a high performance line set and rear riser trimmers. It is suitable for advanced speed pilots at high wingloading and beginner pilots at low wingloading.

We believe we have a great combination of speed, precision, and performance. The Fazer has an excellent glide range - it will go steep when you want it, and it glides well when you need it to. Although the glide range can be adjusted extensively using only the brakes, the Fazer also features a wide trim range which works smoothly on its 3-riser system.

The Fazer is rock-solid in the air, and has absolutely zero “wobble” or “accordion” movement. This stability makes for an extremely precise, smooth, and confidence-inspiring ride for pilots who engage in Proximity Flying, and Speed Riding.  We worked very hard to eliminate all parasitic sail movement and the highly precise handling of the Fazer combined with its compact and stable feel allows you to fly the best line possible, with confidence.

We know that you have high expectations, and we do too, so we did everything possible to create a profile that not only delivers the precision described above, but also has a long brake travel and good slow speed flight with an obvious stall point that is easy to feel. And when it comes time to land, we are sure that the Fazer’s swoop and recovery arc will satisfy even the most demanding pilots.

Although the Fazer is still in Prototype phase, the Finishing touches are being made as we write this and by February we hope to have three sizes in production. We’ve been there a few times before so we knew Cape Town is a great place for kiteboarding and paragliding.  But this year was different. Just before we left Holland a package arrived from Ozone, 3 brand new XT16 speedwings and Atak harnesses.

A few hours after our plane landed in Cape Town we already launched our new speedwings from Lions Head and had an amazing flight down to Camps Bay.

In Cape Town the wind always picks up in the afternoon so we switched the XT16’s for our custom C4’s and had a great afternoon session in Table View right in front of our guesthouse.

After this first day we realized the next 3 weeks were going to be great.  We knew where to go for kiting and gliding but it was an adventure to find the right spots for speedflying. The local Ozone dealer told us about Chapmans Peak. After a nice hike up there are multiple launches. Had some great flights there!
