while most of us were heading into spring, putting our snowkite gear away and replacing it with water kites and kiteboards there was still some guys in the high mountains kiting snowfields into late may. Ben, his girlfriend and his friends live and breathe snowkiting to the max. They are the first out there and the last ones to stop. They love the Frenzy FX and Access XC: true backcountry tools that can take you safely into areas you couldn’t have imagined before!

They have been around this winter to many different spots and have probably pioneered more snowkite spots in the Alps than anyone!

The last snowkite season in the alps was fantastic ! It started in september and it was still snowing in may … A lot of snow, and some perfect sunny weekends.

We have been able to kite a lot of new spots and there is still a lot to discover. Depending on the configuration, some of them have to be reached by ski touring but the best is when you can kite uphill. With pulkas you can bring tents, food and kites without efforts to spend a fews days in the snow. That is very cool to wake up in the middle of a wild mountain with nobody except friends, wind and snow powder.

The video “Up hill and down wind” by LVQ Production gives you an overview of some beautiful spots that have worked this year. The red helmet that is often on the screen is my girlfriend. With the stability and confort of new Ozone kites, she was confident to follow me everywhere.
