Jon McCabe >> 2011 NAST and Masters Recap

Te wiadomości oczekują na przetłumaczenie. Dziękujemy za cierpliwość.

After traveling all over Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming to score epic snowkiting conditions I am happy to be back in Summit County with a smile on my face.

This snowkiting season I have been able to do my biggest glides to date and I also got first place in the North American Snowkite Tour for the overall pro ski race division which I am proud of.

The freeriding aspect of snowkiting is unbelievable and the possibilities are limitless as to what is possible with some terrain.  Each competition had something special and unique to offer and the times where everyone was mobbing around together were my favorite from my trip.

The Dillon Snowkite Open had the warmest weather with sunny skies, fresh snow, and the most organized races.

The Superfly Open was the deepest snow I encountered and everyone was gliding and throwing down big tricks.

The Idaho Kite Soldier had the poker run which was the highlight of that event and tons of cool terrain to link tricks on like a slopestyle course and the conditions lined up nicely for us.

Then there was the Masters which had the best wind and most scheduled freeriding with a kite-n-seek lead by Chasta and tons of giveaways for an epic weekend where everyone left a winner.

Here were my podium results:

2011 North American Snowkite Tour Overall Pro Ski Race Champion
Dillon Snowkite Open Champion in Pro Ski Race
Dillon Snowkite Open 2nd Place in Pro Winduro Race
Best Superfly Open Champion in Pro Ski Race
Best Superfly Open 3rd Place in Pro Ski Freestyle
Idaho Snowkite Soldier 2nd Place in Pro Ski Race
US Open Masters 2nd Place in Pro Ski Winduro

Special Thanks goes out to the Ozone Zephyr!
