Chasta news after the end of NZ trip>>

This news piece has not yet been translated but will be soon, thank you for your patience.

Hi folks,

I’m just back from the snowkite camp in New zealand, when after the Wanakite, I had a final week with four other friends from the Moorea crew. Lucky for us we had a nice cold storm a few days before, so the conditions had been pretty good, except we had too much wind when we were staying at the hut. But good for me I had to ride and do the final testing for the 4m and 6m Access XT.

I’m really happy about the Access conception. Robby did a really good job again on the kite. Thanks bro. I think the Access has more power now on the 10m and 8m, but feels so great, I love it, even for some small jump, or some flat tricks. It’s gonna be hard to make a choice for my next winter’s quiver, but for sure I will use more the 9m frenzy or 10m manta, there’s so much power now on it. I will not forget my 12m manta for thoses light days at the Lautaret pass for flying though.

We’ve a new Access harness also, which is much nicer as usual, much more comfortable.

I spent a great time at Jon’s house, thanks again, it was really good to share thoses beautifull moments up there. It was good to go on missions everyday, sometimes it was not easy to reach the spot, because we had a big bus for 8 persons then we have to all jump in the 4X4, to reach the snow level, then jump on a snowmobile… but the best was the 2 hours tour in a snowcat. Yes we went up wind 2 hours in the snow machine, then as soon as I saw some wind blowing, I jumped out to take 20 km down wind around the big plateau “old man range”: sick spot there, there’s flat, cliffs, windlips everywhere, and it can be really steep also.

For sure the South Island is the perfect snowkite destination. I almost can’t wait for my next advance snowkite camp in 2010.

Thanks to Aboard, for the snowkite board they send me, that board rocks for my style.

Now check out my latest video, where you’ll see all the kites in action with a nice background as usual with some tricks which can inspire you I hope.

I filmed myself most of time, imagine when I see a nice spot, I just put my video camera on my bag, and film it. So I’m sure there’s no shaking, afterwards it’s easier to zoom in and make it nice during the editing.

So enjoy and check out the kitesurf news soon, I’m back in Huahine and the waves are still big.
