Alaska has been a in my dreams for years but this year as a season finale I got to spend 9 days in Alaska making my dreams reality.

Heather from Windzup, our US distributor arranged the trip and took care of the logistics along with the Brown brothers Jeff and James. We rented an RV and hit the road with Thompson Pass being the final destination. Thompson Pass is not far from Valdez and is the home of the classic Alaskan Heli-skiing you see in all the ski and snowboard movies. The Snowkite scene up there is in it’s infancy but there is already a core of kiters that are beginning to discover the endless possibilities. These guys styled us out with hospitality and the use of their snowmobiles to take us up when the wind was not blowing.

There was one day in particular that was killer. I got to kite up a mountain then Ski down after which we kited up the 27mile glacier and Speedflew down, then I kited for another hour or so ripping all over and having a blast. My three favourite sports in a day!
