An original and exciting concept, a world record altitude `Big Air` and `Kite Jamming` session, is to be held deep in the spectacular setting of the Himalayas in Pakistan. Bringing together some of the highest calibre freestyle ski and snowboarders with an elite team of Snow Kiters, in March this year, the event concept was conceived by Walkabout Films and is powered by Ozone kites.

Promising to be the first of its kind, Big Air demonstrations and Snow Kiting at record breaking altitudes, all the riders will trek and snowshoe up to 4200m, where they make base camp for a week, in the Deosai Plains. Finger Lickin` crew member and the UKs` only professional DJ and pro snowboarder, is set to create a world record altitude mixing session, jamming out funky breaks and beats during freestyle sessions.

From Islamabad, professional photographers and cameramen will be capturing the action, following the team along the awe inpiring Karakoram Highway, as they wind their way up the most incredible road on earth, towards China. From Skardu, four-wheel drive vehicles will rally higher up the valley to snowline, where the twenty-strong team, will be assisted by local expedition porters on a one day trek to a stunning location.

Surrounded by 6000m peaks, horizons stretching towards mighty 8000m+ giants such as Nanga Parbat and K2, the spot offers unrivalled adventure, and crossover sport possibilities from our talented participants. Kickers, rails and sliders will be built to create a snow park for kiters and freestylers, against a stunning Himalayan backdrop.

The recent earthquake in Pakistan has left the country still needing help, and we believe that we can help stimulate the economy through tourism, as well as keeping the spotlight on this beautiful country and its people. If you wish to help in relief aid for Pakistan please go to www.reliefshelterdrive.org , a grassroots initiative to help build shelters in areas too remote too receive aid.
