Final Results: World Buggy Championships

Thankfully for the riders and event organisers the weather did clear up after the initial crazy storm that hit St.Peter Odening, Germany forcing the event organisers to cancel day one and two due to having no beach!!

The Ozone riders attending did a great job with the British Team learning a lot from the week against the Worlds best. As always the Germans have dominated proving their superiority in buggy racing.

Michel Dekkar from Holland was our highest placed rider with a well deserved 6th place.

Oli Buchi our Swiss pilot was in 7th place overall going into the last race but unfortunately got taken out by a UK Ozone rider… not mentioning any names ;-) and his overall dropped to 17th! Bummer for him.

Steve Burgoine was our highest placed Brit in 26th with Graham Steel following behind after some disastrous luck during the week after his great first day result of 7th place.

The team were using the latest protos of the future replacement kite for the Razor. The reports back from Michel and the team are excellent, Rob has already taken this info after our trip to the worlds in designing the next set of protos….we are getting close to the ultimate race kite.

Many thanks to the organisers and the many helpers that made this great event possible. Also many thanks to our great team of riders out there giving it their best
