Hi Folks
Last night started at Le Frog with great meal with the wine flowing…. DJ JAZ and JAGGAE got the hole crowd partying with their Soul, Drum &Bass Style with the Vodka RedBulls seriously putting us all in the right mindset!!!!
The Extreme closed at 1am so everyone moved down to the QG Club and partied on until 4am …the wind sacrifice was in full swing…building a massive hangover to hopefully bring the wind…
Well it didn`t work because we only had 10 minutes of wind! But as always Chasta was ready and on the only spot where the wind was any good …but as you can see from the pictures its the spot where the snow is really bad!! Chasta was flying from the top with the FY05 14m and pulling kite loops with ease amongst the rocks…there is only one Chasta….his balls are made of steel!!!
We were all getting excited and as quick as the wind arrived it dissapeared…bummer for us all but the forecast is looking better for tomorrow so to make sure we`ll have to do another bring on the wind session tonight at the Extreme bar….lets pray it works and tomorrow brings us wind and some snow..
The forecast is for a storm to hit us about Friday….
With the lack of any wind spoiling any chance of kite fun Serre Chevalier kindly provided free ski passes for the riders and press. Johann Civel once again took the gang around his local ski area. Jim Gaunt from Kiteworld wowed them all with his snail like pace… The board wax must have been missing!!
The snowboard legend Regis Roland from Apo snowboards arrived today, Regis is like the european version of Jake Burton…top bloke..friendly and unasumming. Its great to see him so excited for snowkiting and his dynamic approach to everything he touches will be a sure benefit for our sport. We can`t wait to try Chasta`s Apo Pro-Model which will be in the shops late january…
The best news for today was the incredible report on Canal + at 5pm. We just watched it at the Frog….
The report was a perfect balance talking about the many aspects of snowkiting including freestyle, backcountry and free riding. We supplied the film which had shots of all the team getting crazy in various parts of the world…
About 8 million people will have seen this report….one of the best I`ve seen..
Thats about it ….keep checking back for the daily reports
Cheers
Matt & the Team
