Wannakite 2009 >> Snowfarm

Myself and Robbie headed down to Queenstown area to Join Tim Stockman’s Snowkite free-ride event held this past weekend. Big thanks to Tim for holding the Wannakite event, now in its 9th year.
The weather Gods smiled down on us on Saturday and we were rewarded with one hell of a day. We counted over 40+ snowkiters tearing up the Pisa range on the Saturday covering huge distances across dreamy snowkite terrain.
Check out the track from John Tyne’s GPS TRACK – obviously we had a ton of snow so ignore the brown, thats just what Google Map shows 
Its about 4km to the Summit of the Pisa from the Snowfarm car park and as we gained altitude the snow conditions improved from average to epic powder thanks to the 10cm that had fallen overnight at altitude.
We kited for at least 5-6 hrs on Saturday and we are still feeling it today!
Check out the pics from our Saturday session, I was riding the 2010 ACCESS XT 10m all day, perfectly powered. We came across the Kirtle Hut so hung around that for a while and boosted over it. Robbie was charging round on the Manta M3 10m ripping off anything and everything boosting 100’ + airs
