The 2005/2006 snowite season was a breakthrough in Russian snowkiting thanks to our Russian distributor, who organized a set of innovative snowkiting events. The annual Russian freestyle snowkiting contest was in 2 stages, the 1st near Moscow and the 2nd stage in the Caucasian mountains, in a new-discovered spot called Lago-Naki plateau.
The results: 1st place took Anton Uzhegov, Ozone Russia, ski; 2nd place - Nikolay Mamontov, Ozone Russia, snowboard; 3rd place - Constantine Frolov, Ozone Russia, ski. You can see a low-q video of it here:

The 2nd stage we had far better weather and held two disciplines - freestyle, and kitecross, both in snowboard and ski separately. Russian Ozone riders took 1st place in freestyle (ski) - Anton Uzhegov; 3rd place in freestyle (snowboard) - Nikolay Rakhmatov; and 1st place in kitecross (snowboard) - Nikolay Rakhmatov. In the beginning May they also organized the first Russian backcountry kite camp in Lago-Naki.
During the week the Russian Ozone team were exploring the incredible expanse of the plateau and climbed 1800m ASL, and conquered 2 peaks. True free-ride!!!All photos of the camp are here -
