In 2008 the Manta II became known as the ultimate kite for those in the know. Its solid performance and incredibley tight turning radius make climbing mountains easier and more importantly safer. For the 09 Season the Manta II has been updated with an improved trim giving higher performance. It also comes with our new “Patent Pending” Control System and in our new colours.

The all new Control system for the FYX & Manta II is an exciting development by Robbie, so good that we have taken out a Patent to protect this design. What it means to you is an even more effective Safety System, super clean Control System (Bar) that gives the rider the most effective, hassle free, release and re-load safety system in the industry.
Listening to all your feedback we have also designed a completely new technical mountain backpack. A new board carrying feature, large separate outer pocket for a shovel, probe and other important backcountry gear with enough room for two kites for your backcountry missions.
Robbie’s words >> “The Manta II I am happy to say is a lighter faster handling kite with dynamic pop and amazing de-power. The two pulley speed system reduces bar pressure tremendously and allows the kite to fly faster while retaining stability throughout the wind range. Because the handling is faster it is easy to pop and the high performance profile keeps you up there for a long time. In light wind you have to work the kite to gain speed but once you feel it power up it just keeps pulling progressively.
In really light wind sub 6 knots I like to pull the trimmer on about 5 cm just to help the kite fly faster making it easier to keep in the air. In stronger wind the kite just powers up and is super fun to ride. When Chasta is riding unhooked he likes to pull on about 5cm of trim, this gives him optimum power and control for new school freestyle moves….Enjoy, Robbie”
