Cynan Rhodes, Charlie Hunter, David O’Brien and Dan Cardon are four adventurers who will be taking on a challenge that is definitely not for the faint hearted. Their mission is to travel to the most Northerly part of Spitzbergen, then using the power of Ozone kites make the journey 900km to the South of the this polar ice cap using the prevailing Easterly winds.
This part of the world is one of the most densely populated areas for Polar Bears (2500) and pose a real hazard for these guy’s. Three members of the team recently met up with UK distributor at their North Wales base to make the final arrangements for the equipment being supplied and to get them familiar with the kites they will be taking. Cynan already has some Ozone kites of his own and was really pleased when support for the expedition was agreed.
A mixture of Access2’s Yakuza and Frenzy will hopefully power the group to success. Just hope they don’t get munched by the bears…!!!
The team will be keeping us updated with regular reports from the ice during the expedition so check back to track their progress.

Good luck from the Ozone team.
