Hi Guys!

Some news from Haugastøl!

I have been at Haugastøl for a week now. Lots of snowkite lessons: 4 days of lessons for a school this week. All of them ended up on skis or a snowboard. 22 people where kiting after 6 hours of teaching. Has to be a new record! :) The conditions were perfect.

Thursday afternoon Remi, Tom Rune and myself went on a trip from Haugastøl. We drove to Orteren and parked there and we got maybe 14 knots of wind. Good power with my 12m Manta2.

The snow was quite hard so we decided to take a trip and see if we could find some more soft snow or wind lips to play with. We had to forget the soft snow we were dreaming about… but we did find some nice hills with some wind lips. It was also good wind for flying. It was so nice. Is was my first day out kiting after SKM in France. Feels so good! I think we had one hour of riding before the beautiful sunset. We had a 5 min break on top and were just watching the sunset. The colour was sick and you could see so far far away….

On our way back the wind dropped. So we only made it half way back, but we made it to the road. There was not so many cars so I decided to walk back. I walked up on a big mountain, and from there I could ride all the way down to our cars. Took me maybe 45 min. Was so tired because I just went thru the hard snow when I was walking on my feet. When I got there Remi´s car was gone…..hmm?  I drove back to Hagastøl, there was Remi and Tom Rune, they were  laughing. They just stopped a car and got a ride. Ha ha ha 45 min waking in the dark with - 25 degrees for noting…  But we all did agree, it was a good afternoon. The dinner tasted pretty good!

There are also some pictures from earlier that day. Had a lesson and some of my students love to take some action pictures. That was more than ok for me.

Have a nice day and see you at the OSKM next week
