Our congrats to Robbie (Ozone designer) and Heather (USA Importer) with their impressive results at the “USA Superbly Open”

Read on for the report:
The Ozone crew just had a fantastic weekend at the Super fly open at Powder mountain. For a change the weather co operated well and the event ran smoothly.

Friday Saw the freestyle event for both Ski and Snowboard. The organisers had rails set up and the riders put on an impressive show for the media and spectators. The Norwegians took top spots but Ozones designer Rob Whittall managed to place third in his first Freestyle Ski event with Patrick Niddele in fourth.

Day two was a Kitercross event, the light winds made it a real challenge. This time Rob flying his Manta 15m took first place by a healthy margin. Heather Schenck took the ladies title yet again flying her Manta 12m.

The Suunto challenge was devised to see who could cover the most distance in a 20 minute time period. Their would also be a prize for the highest speed recorded. Each rider took one of the new wrist mounted X9i GPS watches and set out to do their best. Each riders track was downloaded at the end to find the winner. Coming out on top again was Rob with a distance of 8.3 miles flying his Manta 12m, 2 miles ahead of the next challenger!!!  Bjorn Kropang took the top speed record. Both Rob and Bjorn were presented with one of the super cool X9i GPS watches as a prize for their efforts.
