Hi Everyone

Chasta, Dom, Pascal and myself will be teaming up with the NZ locals throughout August for what should be one incredible month of kiting, land, snow and water. In true Ozone fashion they will be taking our mantra of “All Seasons >> All Kitesports” to the max.

We have a few demo weekends sorted out and as always with the Kiwi’s, their hospitality is legendary! The response and help so far is incredible from kiters and mountain guides that we have not even met before. This trip is shaping into something very special.

The main aim behind it is to scope out new land and snowkite areas for Chasta, Dom and Pascal to have a month testing protos.  They’ll spend the month looking for new routes and areas to explore to showcase just how special our sport is. Dom is also really excited for the Landkiting opportunities, New Zealand’s beaches are a landkiters wet dream, firm massive stretches of sand, strong winds and no crowds. The potential for kiting at in-land spots will not be missed either! Wherever you drive in New Zealand you see beautiful, rolling green hills, insane terrain to enjoy with a buggy or mt board!

Dom will have his Ground Industries deck ready at a moments notice to hop out of the www.maui.co.nz 6 berth camper van, their home for the month

It all starts this weekend at the Blue Balls Bash 27th – 29th July or as its known in NZ, the BBB, an annual event for landkiters and kitesurfers at Port Waikato, a very special place to kite

After that the guys head to Mount Ruapehu to start the NZ Snowkite adventure. This mountain is seriously beautiful and we have high hopes to snowkite up to the top of the rim (it’s a Volcano)
The ski resort is well sorted and have just put in a brand new 6 seat high speed chairlift on the Turoa side to the mountain. From there we will traverse across and set up the kites away from the actual slopes and if there’s no wind its all good, this resort has seriously good terrain and a great park for the guys to enjoy so either way it will be a sweet demo weekend. Turoa Demo Weekend >> 3-5th August

TV NZ, the main new Zealand TV channel will be there with us, plus journalists from New Zealand’s largest newspaper, “The Herald”. Loads of fun planned so if any of you Kiwi’s are reading this please contact Chris Gebbie for full info ozonedemo@highasakite.co.nz

All the Ozone range will be available to test plus even one line kites for the nippers so we hope to see as many of you as possible.

From there the guys head to the South Island stopping wherever its good to get some landkite sessions in…..hhhmmmmmmmnnnnn…that could take a month in itself! They catch the ferry from Wellington to Nelson ad then head to Christchurch, calling in to say hi to Adrian and the www.undergroundkiteboards.com crew, we’ll be trying to drag them on down to the snow.

We are really looking forward to Tim’s event, “Wannakite” held at the Snowfarm 16th – 19th August. This looks set to be a killer event with loads of locals turning up. For more info keep your eye on www.kiteforum.co.nz
