Ozone UK distributor Surface Tension held their first beach jam at Black Rock Sands on 22nd & 23rd Jan. Despite the cold damp weather it turned out to be a good weekend, with the great bunch of people and really chilled atmosphere more than making up for the challenging conditions. Ozone pro-rider Laurent Benamon flew over from France to join the fun, loved the beer and company…but hated the weather

The Saturday started with very little wind at all, but by mid morning the Northerly offshore wind started to pick up, but it was pretty lumpy. As morning turned into afternoon the wind got stronger, but unfortunately brought the rain with it. However, armed with the Ozone Inflatable tent and a space heater, any who wanted it could come and get warm.

Sunday dawned bright and sunny, but the winds were all over the place. For most it did not seem to matter; at Black Rock wherever you look the backdrops are really stunning, add to that some decent sunshine, hook yourself up to a kite and that`s nearly heaven…!

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it a great place to be, we plan to jam…can`t wait for the next one.
