DAY 5

Day 5 - Where is the wind?

It was another beautiful day today, but our prayers for wind were alas not answered, which made for a seriously frustrating day. As soon as we got our kites up, they fell back down again and we were only able to cover a miserable 4km of the 100km target we had for the day.

Highlights of the day, however, were a sighting of some Norwegian birds migrating and Charlie also thought he spotted our first polar bear. It was some snow. He is not going on bear watch.

We would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful Swedish ladies who personally stitched our fantastic Woolpower Thermals – Brigita Sjuling, Martha Tersson, Irena Williamson and Ingro Johnsson – you are keeping us fabulously warm, thank you very much!

We are also pleased to report that David has made a rapid recovery from his fall – it must be thanks to Charlie’s healing hands!

We really will be going to bed tonight longing and praying for some wind. Let’s hope it picks up by the morning.

Regards
