Rob Whittall, co-founder of Ozone Paragliders and chief designer of Ozone Kites and Speed-Wings, recently starred in this short film about the beautiful PPG flying in New Zealand.

The footage is inspiring on many levels - the natural vistas of the NZ coast, the tranquil glides over green landscapes, and the convenience of taking off and landing from home without being at the mercy of thermals

Fly alongside Rob as he soars above New Zealand’s West Coast with his Paramotor, in search of a little soul satisfaction. White Cloud Productions NZ joined forces with Rob to capture stunning images of Raglan and the surrounding area…presenting Surreal Perspectives.

What an amazing late winter we have in France at the moment. 25th April is here and still huge snowfalls every week.

So the french Ozone crew are planing great sessions as we can go to new spots, unreachable during winter, because some roads about 1.500m elevation are opening with the snow melting in the valleys.

The Southern Alps have great snow conditions although the flowers are growing up in the fields and on the trees everywhere around the villages.

Of course we are using the skins for skis and have to hike sometimes a little bit, but not too much actually, and then some incredible areas become available for super long sessions as the sunset doesn’t come till 8pm in spring.

Well, here is a cool video showing the Ride Up way of life, I mean climbing impressive mountains, packing the kite in the rucksac and then enjoying crazy freeriding runs.

The winter here is definitely not over and we are expecting some unforgettable sessions during the further weeks.

Hey Freunde,

das ist mein neues Snowkitevideo, welches über den Winter entstand, als ich mit meinen Kumpels unterwegs war - in der Heimat der Alpen und am Vulkan Etna während des Ozonedrehs, als das Ozone Team es geschafft hat den Gipfel von der Nordseite zu erklimmen.
Ich danke Stefano für die Organisation des fantastischen Abenteuers und meinen Freunden Pascal und Wareck für die großartigen Bilder…
Die Saison hier in den Alpen ist noch nicht vorüber, der Frühjahr beschert uns für gewöhnlich großartige Momente.

Part of the Ozone crew have been snowkiting in Turkey, invited by Murat Bükey, the Ozone turkish distributor. We spent one week at the Mt Erciyes resort 2.230m, at the Ace Hotel, and we went snowkiting every day with Baris Düldül from Arlberg Sport shop and restaurant (www.arlbergsport.com)

Pretty lucky we were, as the weather was all the time perfect. Amazing snowpack, more than ever, here in the center of the Turkish country. Mt Erciyes 3.950m is situated near the big city Kayseri 1.000.000. Every day was windy, and for two days the North-West wind was blowing about 30 knots. Great fresh powder snow as well, but after the two day wind storm the snow turned into hard and frozen waves. Anyway, this super snow was covering large areas we’ve never been during the past two years, so we could discover new spots and new angles for great pictures.

Team riders Johann Civel (F) and Marek Zach (CZ) were going to the spot with Sébastien Bocos (F) from the Ride Up crew, but as well Martin Florek (CZ), Michele Leoni (It) and a few other kiters from CZ and Italy. Murat Bükey was with us all the time and that was a great pleasure to spend every session sharing our runs together. The snowkiting level was pushed up all the time by Marek, Johann and Michele, giving a real motivation to all other kiters from the crew.

The Erciyes spot is definitely perfect for hill-gliding as the wind remains super stable and the terrain is smooth, without any danger around, no rocks, no trees, nothing but soft and deep snow, the best for long flights. It’s not a good idea to promote the hill-gliding way but obviously lot of kiters are really loving it so when it’s done with complete safety, why not show it a little bit. That’s the reason we can see one pretty good picture beside, and you’ll see as well some parts in the video below.

Super video I did as the kiters managed really impressive moves and runs all along the week. The heroes are the kiters, don’t forget it. In Turkey, it seems that we can trust the weather forecast, quite every day right, so when they announced no wind on wednesday, Murat and Baris organized a visit to the famous Cappadocia country. What a wonderful day we had, nice houses made in the rock cones to keep fresh in the burning summertime, so esthetic and strange.

On the last day, for the first time the wind was blowing a little little bit more east. After a huuuge freestyling session on the northern area of the resort, I decided to give a try to the volcano which is impossible to reach with a kite when the North-West wind is blowing as it did all the days during the week and during the two trips we did there the years before.

Good idea as my kite was pulling in the right direction so after a while I managed to get really close to the high summits of Mt Erciyes. Johann Civel was joining after seeing me near the volcano bowl and we went together to the summit of one of the peaks. Amazing experience as you’ll see in the video, and Johann went skiing a steepy and thin slope between impressive rock cliffs. That was a perfect last day and great luck to add this run to our amazing week in Mt Erciyes.

Well, always try to stay as long as you can when going for a snowkiting trip. It’s so nice to be sure having the best conditions and bringing back the unforgettable footage and stories. Sincerely, we all thank you mister Murat Bükey, our journey in Erciyes resort was more than perfect. Next year, perhaps we’ll go discovering another place in the endless Turkish mountains which are more and more impressive as far as we drive to the Eastern areas.

The snowkiting sport is definitely the ultimate skiing and snowboarding way of life. And the story is only beginning. Let’s keep in touch for new adventures coming soon.

Hi allerseits,

Zieht euch das Video von dem alljährlichen Atzenidays Snowkite-Trip in der Schweiz rein.
Ziel ist es zusammen mit Freunden einen Roadtrip zu starten und die bestmöglichen Bedingungen für den jeweiligen Tag zu bekommen, dabei neue Spots zu erkunden und eine geniale Zeit zusammen zu haben.
Dieses Jahr wollte es sich sogar Ozone Boss Matt nicht entgehen lassen und kam für das Event angereist. Das Video kann natürlich nur einen Bruchteil von dem Spaß zeigen, den wir tatsächlich hatten.
Nächstes Jahr wird es ein anderer Kontinent werden, den wir ansteuern! Dieser hier ist jetzt zerstört

Ozone Frankreich Team Alixa >> Lautaret

An einem sonnigen und windigen Tag beschloss das Alixa Team das Büro zu verlassen und eine schöne Session mit Remi von Kite Legende - die Snowkite Schule am Lautaret Pass in Frankreich - zu haben.
Nach der langen und schneereichen Fahrt zum Lautaret kamen wir am Parkplatz an, nah der hölzernen Berghütte der Schule. Remi und Alexandre warteten auf uns mit einer Gruppe von Kindern…die zukünftigen Champions.
Jeden Mittwoch treffen sich die Kinder zu neuen Erkundungen und um ihr technisches Können zu verbessern, alle haben Spaß zusammen auf dem “Masters” Spot!
Angefangen mit dem IMP III Trainer 1.5m…erste Fahrversuche mit dem Access 6m… und spezielle “gezogene Fahren” für die Cups!
Ein Tag voller Schnee, Sonne und perfektem Wind für alle Fahrer…und zukünftige Fahrer

Marek “Murphy” Zach >> 1. Platz Tschechische Snowkite Meisterschaften

Hi zusammen,

Marek “Murphy” Zachhat die offiziellen Tschechischen Snowkitemeisterschaften gewonnen! Das Event fand in Abertamy an der Tschechisch-Deutschen Grenze statt und konzentrierte sich hauptsächlich auf Race und Freestyle.
Die Organisatoren bauten riesige Kicker und Rampen mit einem Pistenraupe und der Rennkurs verlief um durch einige Bereiche mit Bäumen und Hügel.
Da der Sport in der Tschechischen Republik stark zu wachsen scheint, waren viele Fahrer dort, sowohl Highlevel Männer und Frauen.
Alles in allem war das Event auf internationalem Standard und dazu gabs noch ein gutes Preisgeld zu gewinnen.
Gut gemacht Murphy!

Antarctic ICE Expedition Finish >> Dixie and Sam are off the ice

After an epic journey of more than 5013 kilometers, 74 days on the ice, and with a world record distance to their name, Dixie Dansercoer and Sam Deltour are bringing their Antarctic ICE Expedition to a close.

Recently Dixie announced, following careful consideration, that he and Sam have closed the Antarctic ICE expedition and would slowly begin their departure from Antarctica. All of the signs point to this lucid decision: their current “excellent” landing spot for an airplane and the pending end of the Antarctic season. There were many more components to this decision, but all of them led to the same conclusion: the time has come to end the expedition in safety, in harmony, and with total satisfaction.

Dixie and Sam were expertly picked up from their final campsite and safely flown to Progress Station.

The entire Antarctic ICE Expedition Team would like to thank the amazing teamwork of the TAC/ALCI Logistics Team. Their expertise in a vast continent is simply astounding. In particular, our deepest thanks go out to our trusty pilot “Cowboy Chuck,” the epitome of adventure: he and his operations team allowed for the calculated risk to go in and get Dixie and Sam in less than ideal conditions.

Everyone safe, everyone grateful.

Dixie called just before leaving their final camp. With the roar of the airplane engines in the background, he exclaimed: “It’s a full moon! There’s a full moon guiding us home!”
