“Hello everybody,

so I’m in the USA at the moment, around Utah for the past 3 weeks now. What a beautiful and vast (wide) country for snowkiting, it will take me many many years to discover all the best spots. This winter had the best conditions since many years, so many local kiters discovered loads of new spots all around Montana, Idaho, Wyoming.

We finally see there’s a good interest in snowkiting, people understand they don’t have to always use their snowmobiles to go backcountry skiing, yessss!!!

It depends on the spot configuration, but I did see many tubes kites everywhere, even more on a few spots like Austria, where there’s huge mountains all round. The message of snowkiting is not well understand yet I feel. It looks like or maybe they’re still thinking that the foil kites doesn’t have the same performance as a tube. I’ve to say they should open their eyes and quit riding next to the parking lot all day and look around at the sick terrain they have in front of them to enjoy.

Anyway it will take time some time for people to understand that snowkiting is not kitesurfing, it’s another world full if adventure and natural kickers with mountains open for us to enjoy. Maybe the latest issue of Kiteworld Magazine with the article “Toy Story” will be an eye opener.

The past two weeks I‘ve been testing some new foil protos with my friend Mr Robby Whittall, designer of the finest foils on the planet. Guys the new Frenzy 09 is super good. He changed many things on the design and I had some fun with them. I tell you guys, this kites got some speed in the air and amazing stability with some sick new features, it’s ouaaaaaaaaa! The turn is getting better and better every year, you’ll be surprised once again, Thanks Rob

Check out this video I edited really fast, you’ll see my girls riding too, Titaua rode some huge spot, she said it’s like , riding” big white ocean”, in Tahitian it’s the name of my daughter “KAILEA”.

She is getting really good on her new snowboard, she’s almost ready to be pull by a kite , but she loves to be towed up-hill by me, straight to the top of thoses big hills, and snowboard down. Its such an amazing experience to share these moments with your family.

But the US trip is almost over, and the mountains are getting warmer already, so it’s time to hit back to the islands. I just saw the weather report, a huge swell is on the way…..yepaaaaaaaaa let’s gooooo
