In August I did the acro tour, we started at Acroaria in Italy before moving onto Switzerland for the famous Redbull Vertigo and finished back here in France at Acrolac. These shows are fantastic and a great demonstration of our sport. It never stops, there`s always something going on with solo and syncro paragliding, hang gliding and skydiving…and the best bit for the spectators and the worse for us competitors is when we miss the raft to land in the water with a huge “splash”!!
I won`t bother letting you know my results as they were pretty bad, let`s just say I am now the “warning” record holder, yes the judges don`t like it when you fly acro over the ground instead of the lake. I am proud to be able to tell you that my friends and I from St Hilaire were awarded the public award at vertigo for the show we put on with 8 paragliders and 2 hang gliders, a pure Blues session!
The Ozone Renegades were at Vertigo putting on their show, and everybody was super impressed by their stunts especially with the guys doing them so close to the crowd.
I would like to thank all our team pilots for the shows they did and also say a big thanks to Luigi Vigorito, Alain Zoller and Jean Michel Sangoire, the men heading the organisations of these comps, pushing for our sport!
