Last week Enrico Frigerio (Ozone Importer for Italy), and Ermanno Pedroncelli (Italian distance record holder) climbed three 4000 meter peaks in 36 hours using the new ‘Descent Prototype’.

Enrico and Ermanno have been training since the springtime for this incredible project, and they were both in top shape for the expedition.

Enrico and Ermanno started just after midnight and climbed/descended Gran Paradiso (4061m) in just 7 hours!

After that, it was off to Chamonix to climb the Mt Blanc (4807m). They had summited Mt Blanc by that afternoon, and each had a beautiful 40 minute flight into the Chamonix valley under their Descent wings, after launching in a very difficult tailwind!

Just hours later, the dymanic duo were climbing the Mt Rosé, where they summited near the Regina Margherita refuge (the highest refuge in Europe, at 4559m).

Enrico and Ermanno report that the descent glider was very easy to carry, and simple to launch and land. The details of this glider are still classified, but we can tell you that it weighs in at well under 3 kilos, and has a surprisingly good glide and speed.
