I flew my Mantra R11 from Milk Hill in Wiltshire on Sunday 13th May and landed near Dereham in Norfolk, total straight line distance 233 km. It was the 2nd longest straight line distance flight ever flown in the UK – I was 20 km short of breaking the 253 km British record set last year by Richard Carter. I am one of only 3 pilots to ever log a valid flight of more than 200 km in the UK. The other 2 being Richard Carter and Kai Coleman, who flew 222 km the day before my flight. I also broke the British female record set just the day before by Helen Gant, who flew a brilliant 166 km, herself smashing Judy Leden’s long standing 125 km record set in 2004.

The flight was only my 2nd 100 km flight in the UK and was my 1st flight of more than 200 km anywhere. I smashed my previous PB of 117 km from Piedrahita in Spain! The flight was very technical. I had to navigate around, above and under a lot of airspace, including that around Heathrow and Luton airports, flight lanes, military aerodromes and danger areas.

Anyone who has flown long distances in the UK is well familiar with the difficulties of dealing with airspace, which creates a complicated web of mandatory turns and ceilings. Kirsty’s line was far from simple, and highly impressive for many reasons! The Ozone Team would like to send out a huge congratulations, and thanks, to Kirsty.

오존의 첫 시작은 순수한 비행을 위한 글라이더 제작으로 시작했지만, 우리는 지금 모타 패러글라이더 와 카이트의 개발로 확대하여 생산하고 있으며, 우리는 모타 패러글라이더의 즐거움의 발견과 카이트의 새로움에 흠뻑빠져 있으며, 우리는 계속해서 우리의 스포츠가 발전할 수 있도록 개발을 계속할 것입니다.

독일 NRW Overall 에서는 Stephan Meyer (엔조) 가 1위를 하였으며, 2위는 Valerij Volkmann (만트라 M4) , 3위는 Pepe Malecki (엔조) 가 하였습니다.

또한, RLP Overall 에서는 새로운 2012년 챔피언으로  Simon Kirsch, 2위 Peter Jung, 3위 Niels Niethard 가 수상하였으며, 3명 모두 엔조로 비행을 하였습니다.

그리고, 대회 Overall 에서는 1위 Simon Kirsch , 2위 Ronny Geijsen 선수가 1위,2위를 하였으며, 두명 모두 오존 엔조로 비행을 하였습니다.

 우리는 교체할 수 있는 Dyneema 라인을 바로 보내드릴것입니다. 이 교체라인은 별도의 바느질 작업이 필요없이 장착할 수 있도록 되어 있습니다. 잠재적 결함의 발생가능성으로 인하여 새로운 라이저 시스템으로 교체하기 전까지는 엔조 글라이더에 대한 비행을 자제하여 주시기 권고 드립니다. A 와 B 라이저 사이를 연결하는 회색의 두 Dyneema 라인에 겹쳐서 바느질 되는 부분이 너무 짧았 다는 결함이 발견되었으며, 엔조의 올바른 사용 과 성능을 유지하기 위하여 라이저를 교체하여 사용하시기 바랍니다. 우리는 이 결함에 관하여 매우 죄송하게 생각하며, 가능한 빠른 시일내에 모든 엔조 비행자 여러분들에 라인을 교체할 수 있도록 노력 하겠습니다.
