만트라 R10
설계 개념
Our mission was to create a wing more accessible than the R09, with the highest level of performance possible: An Open Class wing with ‘True Performance’.
새로운 특징
New profile. Through developments in the BBHPP project, we now have a massively improved profile that we can release to the public which features a higher level of performance with greater top speed and incredible stability in accelerated flight.
New software has allowed for significant improvements in canopy generation and modeling, leading to rapid progress in glider efficiency.
New arc and tip shape for a reduction of induced drag, for better cohesion, and better handling.
Lighter construction. With an 800gm weight saving over the R09, the R10 is the lightest competition wing on the market! Glider weight is a crucial factor that is too commonly ignored by other manufacturers. Safety, flying behaviour, and handling are all directly related to sail weight.
Line optimisation for a 25% drag reduction, providing a significant free performance increase.
Sail tension has been revised in order to achieve a more compact feeling. The R10 is more ‘together’, with a better turn and easier behavior in every category than the R09. This means you will spend less energy flying the wing, and have more energy for your flight.
New brake handles with swivels to prevent the annoying main brake line twists.
Also, a new ‘handlebar’ system is designed for those who like to fly with a rigid bar in hand. This new system is extremely versatile and allows you to choose between the standard handle method, or by holding the bar between your fingers.
The ‘brake shrink’ system has been carried over from the R09, as it has proven to be the ideal choice for aesthetics, handling, and trailing edge tension.
Mantra R10.2 – The 2 Liner
The Concept
The R10’s big brother. BBHPP performance, for elite pilots.
New Features
Same recipe as the R10, but pushed further and designed around the concept of a 2-liner.
40% reduction in line drag from the R09!
Higher Aspect Ratio
New internal structure to support the 2 line configuration.
