Mike Schoenherr - XC / Speedflying

A true Tiroler, Mike Schoenherr has been an undergorund force on the Austrian PG scene since the beginning of the sport.

Preferring not to get involved in competitions, Mike has stayed away from the mainstream comp scene and focused on flying for himself when he is solo, and for his adventure company when he’s flying tandem. Last year Mike discovered SpeedFlying, and instantly fell in love with what he thinks is the perfect blend between the best sports on earth: Skiing, Skydiving, and Paragliding.

A skilled canopy pilot, Mike has a unique style in his speed flying that has evolved from his experience in skydiving. One of the few solid skydivers to totally embrace the PG side of Speed Flying, Mike is raising the bar for speed flyers around the world with his swoops and carves in the Austrian Alps. The only problem is that no one has heard of him, or knows who he is outside of Tirol… hence his place on the Ozone Team. Now you know… look out for more news and stories coming from Mike, including a new documentary titled ‘Die Stille Fall’ (The Silent Fall) coming next year.

Mike flies the Mantra M2 for XC, the Magnum for Tandem, and the Bullet for Speed Flying.
