During the last couple of months the forum has been running a compertition for readers to send in video of what makes kiting such a big part of their life’s, We’ve been overwhelmed with entry’s and choosing winners was no easy feat. Prizes were donated by Chris and Bron @ Surface Tension, so a big thanks to them. After much deliberation we decide on our winners, In reverse order:

In 3rd Place… And not just because this was the most prolific producer who submitted the most choice. This goes to JKS for ‘Running With Kites’. We both just loved this film, OK not rammed with extreme action but well edited and made what many would consider ‘not their thing’ interesting and fun. Great choice of tunes and made us feel good, So on its way to Australia is your prize of a “Boomerang”

In 2nd Place Another very good feel factor film that just makes you feel great watching it, this goes to Flying Frog for ‘The July Sessions’ Wicked film there with awesome sunset footage. Great performances from your stars too may I ad Keep up the great work and wish you more successes with the filming. On its way to use is a powerball.

1st place was probably an easier decision than we first thought. This film was both well shot and edited with some style we both thought this film was pretty awesome and reflected the great feel of the occasion. So without further ramblings from me 1st place and very well deserved goes to Beboii for ‘Atmosphere 08′ well done. Not only does Ben win a 2.5 DP kite but his movie also now features on Appozone.TV for all to see,

Over the weekend we got to fly some of the 09 range again, and despite low winds, 10-15mph the fyx is really shining through as a benchmark kite, what we thought was going to be a usual quiet day at our local turned into quite a meet… Could it have been people who had heard that 09’s were in town and had come down for a peek and try?? Well I’m not sure but it sure did look pretty from the sand dunes, looking down and seeing all those kites in the air, out of all of them only 2 were not Ozone kites, man it looked sweet. We are all now just laying offerings nightly to the wind gods in hope we get some bigger winds to let rip and really show what this shit can do.
