Once again the Yakuza has taken 1st at a national Championship. This time flown by Benjamin Bartholomeus that has only been flying the Yakuza?s for one month, congratulations Benjamin from all of us at Ozone.
Benjamin switched to the Yakuza after the World championships that were also held in France where he placed 9th. He now wishes he?d managed to ditch his old kites earlier and reckons the added advantage of the Yakuza?s easy handling, stability and out right winning speed would have helped him take a far better result in the Worlds if he?d been racing with the Yakuzas. Check out the speed and how sweet the Yakuza looks
Read on for Benjamin?s report:
?43 pilots took part in the race on Saturday with the wind blowing between 17 and 20 knots. I choose the 5.0 Yakuza which was the perfect size.
The race committee set one race and I won it with a large margin on the rest of the fleet, the Yakuza?s are a dream to ride. I can concentrate on racing and tactics and already have the feeling that the Yakuza is there to win.
Sunday the wind blew around 25 knots, i decided to fly with the 3.4 Yakuza and it was the good choice, the buggy speed was around 90 km/h!!!
Two races were set on the Sunday, I took 1st in the and 2nd second in the last race, behind Stephen Schapman which gave me 1st overall.
Looking forward to our next rounds, salut Benjamin?
