Ozone UK Team join photo Shoot in La Franqui, France

The Ozone UK team took a quick summer 5 day break in France and joined Rob to help test some of the latest protos he`s been working on. We were also able to get more footage for our new DVD which will be released later this year.

The guys based themselves in La Franqui, near Perpignon, well known for its 7km long beach where you can buggy, KGB or kitesurf and where expat John Pendry, owner of one of the biggest kitesurfing schools in France, is based. John also has a rocking bar-restaurant right on the beach which makes for an ace kiting destination.

The guys had some extreme conditions with everything from zero wind to force 8. Rob was even kitesurfing with the new 3m Frenzy05 proto in winds that left even the pro`s from a famous kitesurf company sitting on the beach! La Franqui is well known for its violent conditions and is one of those spots you either love or hate…most people hate it due to its cross offshore and ridiculously gusty winds… La Franqui has turned into one of the great testing spots for the FY05 and we are 100% confident that the new FY05 will have zero stability issues.

Gus Hurst, top kite photographer was on hand to photograph the guys and was lucky to capture a sick sequence of our mad French Ozone buggy rider Thierry Gubal hitting a ramp at 60kpm and launching a huge air only to get it wrong….his resulting crash was very painful to witness; get well soon Thierry!!! The sequence will be in the UK Powerkite mag soon…
