Wind Warriors ozone Demo Weekend
On the 6th 7th of February 2010 Wind Warrior Kitesports hosted an Ozone Kites/Decay Kiteboards & Ground Industries Mountainboards demo weekend at Foxton Beach, NZ.
Hugh Pinfold – Accessories designer at Ozone Kites & Dave Kay – of Decay Kiteboards were in attendance to showcase their wares to around 30-40 kiters from the Lower North Island & Wellington Area, although we had riders from as far away as Ohakune and even Christchurch in the South Island.
Although the wind decided not to attend, a great time was had by all during the day topped off by an awesome BBQ and Keg party at Wind Warriors HQ on the Saturday evening, with cranking tunes from Olly Brunton, Decay team rider, good food, nakedness and great company, the weekend was a hit regardless of the wind.
Local newspaper reporters were on hand to photograph & document the event and even a small crew from Tararua TV (lower north island TV channel) came along with Foxton Local & NZ celebrity Mike Feyen fronting a 20 minute segment on the channels UNDER CURRENT program which was aired every day the following week, with interviews with Hugh, Dave, Olly & Myself and some of the light wind action from the beach and the attendees.
