OSKM Day 3
This news piece has not yet been translated but will be soon, thank you for your patience. Another beautiful blue sky day and some WIND at last ….Everyone was stoked to finally get to kite and boy what a show all the riders put on today…
The direction was far from ideal and meant we had to move to the top of the Col where the snow cover is at its worst, unfortunately this was the other side from where we had placed the ABYN.FR rails
The level of all the riders here at the OSKM is outstanding. The snow cover is severely lacking in many spots yet the guys are going for it as if there lives depended on it!!
Imagine for a minute how much skill they have to launch huge stylin` airs amongst rocks, add in kite loops and we are fortunate to witness the amazing skill and timing they have to land exactly where they want.
Chasta started the charging session with huge airs and sick kite loops…….the rest of the rider crew immediately scrambling for their kites ready for a fun jam session…no rules, no contest pressure just free to ride….. Free riding at its best, its been so cool to witness the great spirit of everyone here at the OSKM event so far
Romain Faberetti was charging hard as ever with his cool technical style, Remi Meum pulling some sweet fully committed handle passes of the improvised rail, Sigve Botnen super smooth and going large, 2004 ski Champion Fabio Ingrosso launching from the top of the Col with Chasta and local kiter Gigi. Fabrice Trip Mond arrived for his first snowkite session of the season and was straight back into top form
Every rider today gave it their all in far from ideal conditions; true showmen that seriously impressed the media attending that had not seen snowkiting with their own eyes before, exactly what we need to communicate to help snowkiting to continue to grow.
Jim Gaunt from Kiteworld magazine, a kitesurfer that had not experienced snowkiting before was amazed with how little wind we need to go uphill and utilize the terrain to the max. Christian Black, Kiteworld Mag staff photographer reckons he took the cover shot for the next issue….lets hope editor Hugh Miller agrees!
DJ Gee made an appearance at the Col today and took the mic interviewing riders with Wareck Arnaud taking the images with his Beta Cam ready to send out to TV networks around the world.
Tonight its dinner once again at top restaurant Le Frog with owners Xavier, Dee and their great staff making everyone feel special. The Frog has been a great base which has been a big bonus for creating a family style atmosphere here at the event with all the media, riders, DJ`s, sponsors and organizers having time to enjoy a great dinner with loads of wine.
After dinner its off to the Frog where tonight Patrick Koller will premier Google Box`s latest snowkite movie…. To check out the trailer go to Charlys website

The weather forecast is for snow and more wind in the next few days so fingers crossed
I`d like to say a big thanks to all the riders and helpers here at the OSKM, they made today really special even though the conditions are really difficult for them.
Check out the OSKM website riders page to get the low down on all the riders attending.
The www.ozonesnowkitemasters.comwebsite will have more pictures added from the last 3 days updated on the 17th…keep checking back for more updates
