Chris and Bron our UK distributors went over to Cleveland on the East coast to visit ‘Teesside Powerkites’ for an informal blast on the perfect sands at Redcar. We didn’t really know what to expect, but had many good reports from some of our riders who had been before, and sure enough we soon fell in love with the place. On the Saturday we were blessed with quite strong wind, but the lack of any waves pushing in on the previous tide had left parts of the beach looking like the surface of the moon..! there was plenty of space though for everyone to indulge in their passion.

Simon and Appo who organised the event also managed to get someone to dump a huge mound of sand on the beach ‘Instant Kicker’ and this was put to good use by many. Saturday night was party time at a brilliant little camp site with an ‘Egon Ronay’ rated restaurant on site, the massage tent was a winner, especially after a hard days action on the beach. Fire Poi provided the chance to see a few setting themselves alight..! and is always great to watch as evening draws into night. A really friendly chilled atmosphere shared with like minded people made the end to a great day.

Sunday dawned pretty windless but the sun was strong and we all made our way back to the beach to enjoy the mild sea breeze that blew down the beach for most of the day.
