Ozone Promo weekend Southend On Sea

Last weekend saw members of the UK team helping out with a local fly-in organised by Mark Bashford of MJB kites powerkite school at the Billet Lane flying site. This was arranged to give the opportunity for members of the public to come and try out many of the kites in the Ozone range whilst being helped along by qualified instructors and sponsored riders alike.
The Saturday turned out to be a great day indeed, soaring temperatures and a good solid wind that built through the day giving everyone plenty of options for trying all the kites.
Butch brought along one of the ramps recently acquired from the X-Zone and this had centre stage in the 13acre field. It was not long before boarders and buggies were launching themselves into the air defying gravity and putting on a great show of Arial rotations, tweaked grabs and trying new moves.
The local crew supported by Bill Tucker from Sports Corner were on hand to help out with everything and also provided soft drinks and an Ace BBQ to fuel the hungry and thirsty riders. Thanks guys you were life savers..!!
The atmosphere was very relaxed and it was great to meet up with old friends and new people alike.
Sunday thankfully, was not quite as hot as the day before and the wind struggled to blow more than 7mph. It had its moments but the day was given to talking kites and kit and generally chilling out with everyone.
