Tom, Rob and Chasta have just returned from a testing and trimming session in Norway where they spent the past 10 days working on various projects and attending the incredible “Snow Jam” snowkite festival.
Whilst there they found a new trim for the 12m FY05 that is easy to do and improves the kites stability and performance
Follow these simple steps to improve your kites performance.
1. Remove the back flying lines of the speed system. (Main rear flying lines that are connected to kite)
2. Remove the main brake line which is the thin fluorescent yellow line that is looped onto the end of the speed system line
3. Remove the grey spectra speed system line from the big pulley by pulling the grey line through the pulley.
4. Tie a single knot into the middle of the short grey spectra line . This is the line that is spliced to the pulley like in the picture.
5.Put the grey line back through the pulley
6. Attach the brake making sure it is the same as the opposite side, and connect the back flying lines!
Then you are ready to go!
Make sure you only un-do one side at a time. That way you have a perfect reference to make sure you re-connect the system in the right way without a line-over or twist.
Have fun
