HELP SAVE A KITE BEACH

For several years now the beach of the Hemmes France has been the mecca for buggy pilots from several countries. Its vast expanse of sand stretching nearly 10 miles long and 1 mile wide at low tide has been a weekend retreat where pilots can escape the humdrum of daily life and live their passion to the fullest.

On the 19th August 2005 the local authorities placed a ban on all windpowered sport activities despite their being no accidents with other users. Local riders from the Powerkite.net web site www.Powerkite.net have launched an international petition in an attempt to have the ban lifted so that the beach may be enjoyed by all.

Please take the time to pass this info onto all of your contacts around the world so we can get as many signatures on this petition as possible.

Many thanks to Anthony from Powerkite.net and his colleagues for making this determined effort to save one of the best kite beaches in Europe

Cheers Matt
