Here at the Col du Lauteret after a lot of hard work all round things are starting to come together. We have 3 bitching rails built by pro snowkiter Matthieu Blanchard’s company www.abyn.fr …the best rails ever seen in a snowkite event to date, so it will be interesting to see them in use… With an 8m rainbow, one 6m rail and another 8m rail and the RedBull tent to jump over, the riders will get a chance to show all their latest moves.

The media are now here in force, which is a great indication of how snowkiting seems to be finally entering the mainstream media, recognised as its own sportand not just a fringe activity! Snowkiting has an incredible aesthetic appeal, is easy to learn but at the same time can be ridiculously extreme. Just check out the level of the riders attending the OSKM event this week! Patrick Koller, Naish pro snowkiter and one of the invited riders for the OSKM, together with top film maker Charly have just released their latest movie called Wendigo. It features the worlds best snowkiters in various incredible locations throughout the World. Charly and Patrick have created a movie that captures the many different aspects to the world of snowkiting…..without a doubt its the most beautiful snowkite movie released yet. The film features some unseen footage of Chasta and Fabrice in the USA filmed by Rob and a special section on Chasta’s insane day when he pulled the first ever 3 x kite loop in one jump!!
