Dom on Tour>>

Hi Everyone

Check out the news from Dom below, for those of you that don’t know him, Dom has been working for Ozone for the past 4 years as our manager in Germany amongst many things. Dom’s input has been impressive, it’s been a pleasure working alongside such an all-round star.

He finally decided to take a year out to pursue some of his dreams. One of them was to ride from his home in Germany to the North Cape (northern most point in Norway) and he is already well on his way averaging 100km per day

We wish Dom all the best on this amazing summer adventure and look forward to him joining us snowkiting again this winter.

Cheers

Matt

Hi everyone…

I have started my trip on the 15th of May in Mainz near Frankfurt. Before my mate Benni built the trailer for me which proved to be perfect so far. It’s super light weight and I can lock the box when I go shopping or be away from the bike. It also runs so smooth and on the flat you hardly notice it although I load it up to about 30kg. I kind of zig zagged trough Germany and visited loads of friends on the way.  I stayed for almost 2 weeks in St. Peter – Ording north west of Germany. I sent my kitesurfing gear there to spend some time on the water before heading on. It was windy almost every day and I have been out a lot – always with the Instinct Light XC 10m the only kite I have and which turned out as the perfect one kite quiver. I must admit that I really love the Light XC this year. It’s so easy, powerful and fast and even in nuking 30 knots I still felt safe and confident to ride.

As you read I just left Hvide Sande where I spend another 5 days with friends and got some proper surfing in 3m waves, 30km downwinders and a day paragliding on the dunes. Yes I even have a Paraglider Geo II with me. Great gear – super light in combination with the Oxigen harness. I will take it with me for the rest of the trip and hope for some good flying on my way to the north cape. Unfortunately I can’t take the kitesuf equipment with me as it turned out to be too heavy on the trailer. I already took it with me the last 400km but it was just too much. I’m planning to take the ferry from north DK to Norway end of this week and will ride along the west coast up north. I’m so excited to see the fjords and the amazing landscape. By now I have cycled over 1500km in 15 days on the bike and hope to be on the north point of Europe around end of July – mid August. It’s going to be a big ride still plus I want to cycle back home to south of Germany as well. As often as I can I update my website blog www.domontour.com with some reports and pictures so keep tracking my trip.

My thanks to Ozone that have given me the opportunity to take my time off and support me with such great products.

Cheers
Dom
