Yakuza GT testing session in Belguim
On a very cold Sunday morning at the end December when Ozone team riders, Malte and Jasper, met in De Panne, Belgium. This is the place with Belgium’s biggest beach, stretching all the way to France, very hard surface and lots of water. It was perfect for some Yakuza GT testing and tweaking.Tom, our photographer joined us to take some shots. Drysuits and gloves were necessary to keep us warm while harnessing the GT’s power! We did some runs with the 4.5 m and 5.5 m, having fun on the land and in the water. The kites were really stable during all our manouvres, spinning in the water, sliding, driving in the sea, 360’s,..etc., everything we could possibly try was attempted.
We were able to go upwind so smoothly and seamlessly turn for a fast downwind run, even way faster then the original Yakuza. Even when the wind dropped, we could pull the brakes which maintained the power in the kites. We went on testing with the 6.8 m, flying up and down the beach with this super fast kite. We ended the day with some sessions on disk wheels, however the wind had picked up, so out came the smaller sized kites. The 3.4 m and 2.5 m were the weapons of choice. These sizes were fast, but still so manageable and stable.
We had an awesome day there, only a bit cold, with some nice pictures and super kites! Thanks Ozone!
Cheers Jasper
