Last weekend saw the final of the BPC (British Parakarting Cup) and the 4th round of the Super Cup. With the weather forecast to be bad on Sunday it was decided that we would do all the races on Saturday. A nice onshore wind with the sun out and a super smooth hard beach, perfect!
I went out with skinny disc’s for the first race because during practice there was a lot of water on the course, however by the time of the start the beach was totally dry! It was a bad mistake and eventually I lost my 2nd place to Adrian Lavell on the last lap, he was using some super wide disc’s which were perfect.
For the next race I made some changes! Different wheels and shorter kite lines with a bigger kite. It did the trick and I finished the race with a comfortable lead! Next race was the Super Cup I went out with the same setup as the last race. The race was fairly uneventful with the exception of me going the wrong way and needing to double back to go round a mark! I was soon back in the lead and by the end was half a lap in front. Overall Ozone and I have now won the BPC for the fifth consecutive year and I’m very happy!
