This weekend saw the 3rd round of the British Parkarting Super Cup. It was scorching hot and so was the racing! Light winds saw us all out on big kites, 14m Yak domination was the order of the weekend! The short races on Sat; I won 2, Adrian won 2 and Irish Bob won one. All the PKD pilots had there new kites but seemed to struggle to get to grips with them?
I’m sure we will see more later in the year from them but at the moment I think all the Ozone runners are feeling pretty smug with their choice of kite!
Sundays Super Cup: The race officer decided to work us over with an almost impossible course and after some vociferous complaining at the pilots meeting he reluctantly agreed to move some of the marks. The wind picked up but blew offshore giving us some fickle changes in strength (0-18mph) and direction, this combined with the technical nature of the myriad of marks we had meant that no two laps were the same and many pilots taking different lines.
Anyway I’m sure all the pilots thought it was great, I know I did but there again I would as I managed to lap everyone in the race!
