New content on our website

Hi Everyone

Well many of you will have noticed our new website that has undergone a major change in the past 6 months. Our thanks to Lluna the creator of our new site; we are still tormenting him with changes and additions!!!

Our site is constantly evolving, we still have a long way to go with the content of the pages but hope you enjoy our new site and find it interesting. If you would like any changes to the site please send us your ideas to kites@flyozone.com and we’ll do all we can to implement them to the site

We are pleased to announce that the site will soon be fully translated into French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. You will notice that some pages are still not translated, our translators are all kiters themselves so bear with them whilst they update every page in the site.

One of the new additions to the site is the “INFOZONE” section. At the moment only on the snowkite page but we will be adding this to the landkite and Kitesurf page really soon.

There’s a load of other features coming soon including:  Riders guide on where to practise your sport and links to shops that sell our products all via Google Earth. We will also be launching our web shop where you will be able to buy our accessories and clothing range.

Some of the cool points on our site are the designer notes where the designers of the kites give you their feedback >> INSTINCT DESIGNER NOTES

We have also added Riders reviews of our kites. Check out these three reviews for example the CULT or the Instinct SPORT and LIGHT

A new section in the Snowkite page with info on the Expeditions we are currently supporting >> EXPEDITIONS

This really cool section even has all the info you need to plan your own expedition written by Polar Explorer specialists Sarah and Eric Landry that are about to set off to cross Greenland North to South, a 1st with a kite. This Gruelling route will be a 1st with a kite, Sarah , Eric and Curtis are taking with them Frenzy 07’s, Manta, Haka, Access2 and a Yakuza for light winds. Check out their PITTARAK page in our expedition section HERE

Gus Hurst has also sent us this great safety report on understanding wind when kiting in terrain (hills and mountains). Many of us that have come to kiting from Paragliding understand the dangers involved in wind shears, wind gradients, rotor and other nasty things that terrain can do to the wind. If you don’t know what I’m talking about click HERE ;-)

We look forward to building up our site to offer easy to find info for all our products and hopefully news that you find interesting. Please let us know if you want something we don’t currently have on our site

Looking forward to your feedback

Cheers Matt & Dom
