With only a few pilots at the start and not enough wind the closing race for the Belgian championship wasn’t looking good. The race was important as two riders had a chance on the Belgian title, Ozone team rider Jasper De swert and Thibaud.
Finally a sea breeze kicked in, just enough to hold a race with large kites. The 1st two heats were driven neck to neck by Jasper and Thibaud, and both won by Thibaud. The final heat was very difficult, with the sea coming up and the wind dropping it was very difficult to drive. Jasper proved the Yakuza’s superior light wind performance again and won the heat with a large margin on the rest. This victory turned out to be enough to win the race weekend!!
So Jasper won his 3rd race this season and made it to the 2nd place in the Belgian Championship.
