Hello everyone

It was a long time ago that I was able to ride my buggy and push my Yakuzas to the limit. I survived a long and hard lean period without wind and sand. But now I’m a daddy and my little wee is now able to do his first “backroll into bed (asleep)” and I’m able to start again back into the paracart racing circus.

Last weekend I visited my buggy builder of choice, Mister XXtreme, and picked up my new XXtreme Apexx and do a training session with my Yakuzas at the Netherland beach. Unfortunately the wind speed was very high and the tide was as high as the sand flows if any of it was dry. All of the beaches were flooded or closed.

But I found a small nice beach to rise my Yakz again. This beach is near an industrial area and there were some windturbines at the beach too. But no problem. I set up the 2.7 Yakuza with 15 m lines and got on speed. Not sure if I’ve ever gone that fast in the buggy or if it was just the long break I had. Even in these hardcore conditions I felt very confident and safe with the Yakuza.

Then the wind dropped and I used the 7m Yakuza till the end and was still getting some serious speeds. What a good feeling to feel the sand and the wind again.

I think I’m prepared for the next events and I start at eastern at the first German race of this year and my first race after more than 1 year break… I need it so bad!
