I went to Coche after Los rouqes and suddenly I meet a Norwegian crew that lives in a sail boat.They have been sailing all the way over the Atlantic Ocean and are now cruising in the Caribbean.
One of them has brought water skis which he has designed himself, and are now to be bought in the stores. They are genius for water skiing! You can also go backwards cause it’s twin tip. Next year the skis are going to be improved and shaped to fit better into the kiting sport. I tried them and it was so much fun. It felt like putting on my skis that I use in the winter when I snowkite.
You need a bit more power to be able to go upwind. When I tried them the conditions were perfect, so I managed it well and could jump and play in the water. A new and different thing and another item to put on my wishing list.
