The Ozone REO is a dream machine for every kind of Surf-Style kiting. The three strut design translates to feather weight, which is crucial in those moments when the lines go slack, or the breeze is thin.

Estoy aquí en Playa del Carmen, Mexico, compitiendo en mi primer evento de la PKRA. Es genial estar finalmente aquí con mi hermano, Johnny, compitiendo internacionalmente. Hay unos 25 racers de mas de 10 países, incluyendo a 6 chicas en la flota.

En los primeros 3 días hicimos un total de 7 carreras. Usé mis 3 cometas Ozone Edges que registré para el event, 17m 13m y 9m, lo que indica la variedad de condiciones que hemos tenido. Con las condiciones de viento cambiantes constantemente hemos visto lo importante que es sentirte comodo en una medida de kite que no es la idonea para esas condiciones en ese momento. En la primera carrera del evento habia kiters con medidas desde 9m a 17m. Estoy aprendiendo la importancia de escoger bien los kites para luchar contra los otros competidores, y siento que si hubiera escogido mejor las medidas de los kites, lo hubiera hecho mucho mejor.

Una de las mejores riders femeninas del mundo está aquí, Katja Roose, y ha sido divertido batallar con ella por primera vez. Conseguí ganarla en 2 de las 7 carreras, y estoy en 2a posición de la clasificación final de chicas. Núria Gomà (Ozone) ha terminado 3a en todas las carreras. Johnny está en primer lugar después de ganar 4 carreras, con Bryan Lake en segundo lugar y Adam Koch (Ozone) tercero. Una vez más, mis chicos de San Francisco estan dominando el evento, pero hay muchos competidores internacionales que estan ahí arriba tambien. Es genial ver que hay 6 Ozone Edge en los primeros 10 puestos de esta competición internacional…

Hoy el viento fue muy flojo y de tierra, así que no navegamos. Nada cambió y Johhny conservó la primera posición, Bernie la segunda y Adam la tercera. Estoy muy contenta con my 2a posición en mi primera competición de la PKRA, y ya estoy lista para la siguiente! Gracias por toda vuestra ayuda Ozone.

Hi everyone,

My time here is coming to a close but I’ve had just enough time away from kiting to be able to produce another video from this brilliant location.

The brief I gave myself for this video was to be able to show how good the 2012 7m C4 is. I have had many sessions on the 7m here riding the powerful sea breeze, which can frequently get up to 30 knot’s and I wanted to show just how much fun the 7m C4 can be in these winds, with its superb depower and fantastic stability it’s the perfect kite for a high wind session.

Featured in this video is newly announced German ozone rider Felix Stelter and the young local machine that is 17 yr old Jayden Bosveld.

Mirad este video editado por Grahame Booker de un viaje reciente al Oeste de Australia con Steve McCormack. Los chicos viajaron al oeste de Australia para grabar un video con un power kite de 4 lineas y visitar a los distribuidores, uno de los cuales está asentado en la famosa Safety Bay.

Jason Lewis de WestOzkiteboarding nos ayudó y nos presentó a su talentoso equipo, que incluye a Felix Steltner, algunas imágenes nos las proporcionó Felix y Ash Garwood (Push Kiting member http://vimeo.com/pushkiting) grabado alrededor de Albania, y mas trade esa semana viajaron haste Wedge Island y Lancellin para grabar mas imágenes.

Hi everyone, Ash Garwood here reporting from Safety Bay, Western Australia on my time away from land boarding learning the way of the kite surfer.

Its been a while since I’ve wrote any thing here, this is my second season riding on the water, I’ve been riding the C4’s for over 3 seasons on the land and naturally to help myself progress on the land and incorporate different tricks into my style I’ve been kite surfing to learn the unhooked moves which no one else has yet to land on a land board. Using the C4’s I’ve been able to progress very quickly developing my style and taste for new school unhooked riding very easily. I love particularly the power these kites produce, they constantly pull but still provide you with that much needed slack line mid trick enabling you to pass the bar easily. I’ve found my progression has been constant and with the beautiful conditions of the spot I have been riding I have been able to push myself to start ticking off tricks on my wish list.

I have also found my self behind the camera a lot this season as well, i have recently invested in new equipment and have been using my knowledge of kite boarding to get some sweet clips down. I wanted to create a video which shows how the C4 has no limits and how it is just a sweet kite to ride.

Featured in the video is 21 year old Felix Stelter (GER) Glenn Swart (GER) and 17 year old Jayden Bosveld … here is what Jayden has to say about his views on the C4:

“This is the first year that I’ve been riding the C4, but I very quickly began to like everything about it. This kite is very smooth in the air and has a really nice direct feel to it. It gives a very solid pop and leaves a bit of slack in the lines making it perfect for handle passes. The looping capabilities of this kite are great; it gives a strong, grunty pull and is quick to catch you before you land. What really struck me with this kite was the attention to detail – the rubber coated center line at the bar prevents you from chaffing your fingers away; the hardy valve system is simple and impossible to break (every other kite I have had has had issues with the valve popping open, but I have had no problem with the C4); the lines are thin and smooth but feel extremely solid and the general build quality of the C4 is impeccable. The C4’s graphical design is simple and aesthetically pleasing as well, and my mum likes them because she can easily recognize its distinguished features and so can easily find me in a crowd of kites.”

Patrick Blanc llega al equipo Internacional de Ozone

El joven rider español Patric Blanc entra en el equipo Internacional de Ozone.

Gracias a su entrenador Xevi Carrasco y al soporte del Importador de Ozone para España, Kite Frenzy, Patric ha culminado un año fantástico en el 2011, ganando el Campeonato Europeo Junior de Freestyle y también el Campeonato Español Junior de Olas y Freestyle.

Patrick navega con la Ozone C4 kite y espera tener otro año fantastico en las competiciones. Próxima parada…PKRA! Cuidado con los jóvenes!
