I have spent one week somewhere in the Philippines to have a break from my training in Thailand, and to find something else than flat water. I found what I was looking for with cool spots…35-40 knots, ultra sharp reef, and 2 to 4 meters closing waves…
It was perfect to have some adrenalin with my Pohutu and my 6m Catalyst.. I enjoyed the waves, which got bigger and bigger every day till the 5th day, when my board broke in two pieces under my feet on a pretty fat floater…In fact it was already in a bad shape on the first day (thanks Cebu Pacific plane) but I was thinking the repairs I made were good…not the case!
No matter, now it’s time to go back to Thailand for the PKRA. Philippines was great, I’ll be back there in November for sure to enjoy the new REO kite…and will bring also a 4m Catalyst … the wind in that place could be incredible!!!
