Sorry for the delay….but thats how it is sometimes with good things!
The Instinct is finally getting out there across the globe and our distributors reporting back to us and the forums as they test our great flying machine
The past week the Instinct has been tested at the Mondial de Vent, the legendary event in Leucate, France. Leucate once again delivered the goods later in the week and lived up to its fearsome reputation with winds gusting up to 45 knots.
Last night we were flying the 7m Instinct in winds gusting between 19 - 45 knots. At all times we felt in control with the Instinct and not once did the riders feel intimidated by the gusts, if it had not been so late we could easily have handled the 9m!!! (Riders: 84kg Nobile 555, 128cm; 75kg SOS Razor 130
The Instinct is a GUST MUNCHER …just loves it and the best thing is it still allows the rider to concentrate on the fun and riding style instead of stressing about the kite. The stability is mind blowing impressive and the hang time is incredible with the landings super soft even on the small 7m. There has been no-one at the Mondial de Vent that has not been impressed by the Instinct and this mirrors all feedback the past 6 months.

Massive De-power all within arms reach >> Imagine being able to fully turn the power off within your arms reach! The Instinct allows the rider to do this making it incredible for wave riding and inspires confidence and safety in your riding style.
Unique Ozone design Trimmer system. The Trimmer pulls the centre support line 2:1 compared to the power lines all in one action. This makes the trimmer depower range even more effective as the kite truly rotates around its angle of attack and means the bar position stays the same and the back lines DO NOT go slack
Huge wind range with incredible low end power and efficiency >> Example: The 11m has power of regular 13m C-Kite

No Pulleys in the kite or the bar and no rainbow (BOW) style bridles which means the Instinct is very responsive

The Instinct designer, David Pilkington, co-founder and all-round genius started our own production in Vietnam 6 years ago and manages the factory full time with his dedicated Team. As a designer with incredible background, a Dr. in Aerodynamics, previous British Aerospace manager, A product manager for the leading Paragliding & hang-gliding brand in the 90’s and designer of Ozone’s own CAD software program David has incredible experience to draw on and that shows in all Ozone products.
