I’ve been here for two months now and the season is well underway. It was a late start since the rain season lasted longer than usual and still the weather is kind of moody. We just had a great swell that passed without any wind which for September I’ve never seen in the last 7 years. Not a major issue since the surf was great and I had my best waves stand up paddling so far.
A few pros that came here for only a short time were more bummed not being able to get the goods. I’ll stick around to kite yet all the swells to come that are blessed with the 20knots of steady side off shore winds.
I’ll keep you posted on how things are going around here. There’s always some film cameras around too, so look out for future wave kiting dvds and also ‘Bagus’ the first kiteboarding movie that is shot for the big screen.
